8 Bit Death
Anyone who has ever played the original NES knows these scenes.
Death is cold, but rendered in 8-bit digital format only makes it worse.
One of the secrets of many an NES game is how to procure more lives. 1 Ups, Up-Up-Down-Down, etc. But these can be as illusive as diet pills that really work. And even then they may be useless if you are a terrible player!
But alas, death is neigh permanent in the world of gaming. So no matter how spectacular the final death throws, you know you will be seeing it again very soon.
